Lieutenant Angela Martine was assigned to the U.S.S. Enterprise NCC-1701 as a phaser control specialist. She became romantically involved with her immediate superior, Lieutenant Robert Tomlinson, and they agreed to marry. Unfortunately, their wedding was interrupted on Stardate 1709.2 when a Romulan Bird of Prey violated the Neutral Zone for the first time in a century and attacked Earth Outposts 2, 3, and 4. In the battle that followed, Tomlinson was killed.[1]
