Located near the edge of the galaxy "north" of the galactic plane in Quadrant III of the United Federation of Planets, the Trimordidion system is home to at least ten planets.[2] Following an encounter with the Galactic Barrier[3] in 2208,[4] the U.S.S. Enterprise NCC-1701 stopped at the system's tenth planet, Delta Vega, for repairs.[3] In the decades since, large reserves of dilithium were discovered on the planet, and its population exploded, earning the colony associate membership in the Federation.[2]
