Class Olympic

An Olympic class science vessel,[1] the Quito was named for the capital city of Ecuador on Earth. In 2378, circa Stardate 56400, the Federation Starship Quito made First Contact with the Galardonians. Beckett Mariner served aboard the Quito during this mission, but was subsequently demoted and reassigned to the U.S.S. Cerritos NCC-75567.[2] Some time prior to that, the Quito was docked at Deep Space 9 when an incident occurred aboard ship; one of the crew, Ensign Niko, was revealed to be a Harvongian shape-changer. Upon discovery, he killed Angie, an ensign that he was dating, and attacked the other personnel in the ship's mess hall.[1]
