Reference Stardate 1/6101 through 1/6112
- RSD 1/61: Billion-ton superconvoys, towed by Provider class tugs, begin plying trade routes, saving industry trillions of credits and years in travel time.[1]
- RSD 1/61: Star Fleet disguises a number of ships as merchant vessels in a successful ploy to draw out the Klingon Empire for another attack. Two Klingon warships fire upon the U.S.S. Phantom, disguised as a large merchant vessel, without warning while she is proceeding through Orion space. The Phantom jettisons its dummy cargo pod and engages the Klingon attackers, destroying one and crippling the life support system of the second. A boarding party from the Phantom attempts to rescue survivors and to gather information, but the Klingons destroy the ship to avoid revealing too much about themselves, killing all survivors and the rescue party. Without substantive evidence to link the attack to the largely still mysterious Klingon government, the Federation can take no direct military action.[2]
