Pluto was a small planet on the edge of the Sol system that orbited its parent star in a different plane than the rest of the planets in the system. In 2210, the U.S.S. Enterprise NCC-1701's computers showed a map of the Sol system to Nomad, depicting Pluto as the ninth planet in the system.[3]
