A small Class J planetoid orbiting a yellow star,[1] Delta Leonis, located in Quadrant III of Federation space,[2] Planet Q was a Human colony[3] that was terraformed and settled in the early 23rd century as a colony of scientists deliberately separate from the Federation's core worlds.[1] In 2207, it was home to Dr. Thomas Leighton and his wife, Martha.[3] Supporting a population of nearly 450,000, Planet Q was habitable, if somewhat barren, and most of the population still resided in the domed city of New Princeton.[1] The Karidian Company of Players made their final stop at Planet Q on Stardate 2817.6.[3] By 2223, the population had exploded to 2.25 billion.[2]
