Myriad Universes: Battle of Vulcan
On Stardate 2258.42, Vulcan was attacked by the Narada, a Romulan ship from the future. Six Starfleet ships were destroyed by the Narada, including the U.S.S. Truman NCC-0854, the U.S.S. Farragut NCC-1647, and the U.S.S. Mayflower NCC-1621. The U.S.S. Enterprise NCC-1701 survived only because its departure from Earth was delayed, allowing Cadet James T. Kirk to warn Captain Christopher Pike of the danger that the ship faced. Unfortunately, none were able to stand up to the power of the Narada's weaponry, and Vulcan was destroyed by a red matter-generated artificial quantum singularity, killing billions of Vulcans in a matter of minutes.[1]
