Enterprise NCC-1701-D. La Forge was killed in 2366, when the Enterprise was destroyed while assisting the U.S.S. Enterprise NCC-1701-C in returning to its own time of 2344, a move that would prevent the war and alter the timeline.[1]

After the Borg successfully assimilated Earth in 2366, Lieutenant Commander Geordi La Forge was one of the few surviving members of Starfleet, and served as chief engineer aboard the U.S.S. Enterprise NCC-1701-D. In 2368, he met his counterpart from another universe,[2] and helped, at long last, to rescue Captain Jean-Luc Picard,[3][4] who had spent the past two years as Locutus,[5] and overthrow the Borg foothold on Earth.[4]
