The Federation Starship John Paul Jones was a Mission class transport.[1] The most famous transport of its type, the Jones vanished under mysterious circumstances while reportedly carrying a huge cache of valuable gems. Legends about the Jones persisted for decades, although the tale was thought to be apocryphal.[2]
