The Federation Starship Matthew Decker, named for Commodore Matthew Decker, was the prototype of the Decker class destroyer, and was commissioned on Reference Stardate 2/7502 (February 2275). The Decker was transferred to Star Fleet Training Command on Reference Stardate 3/0505 (May 2305).[1]
