A sonic grenade was an explosive weapon that operated under similar principles as a sonic disruptor, using concentrated sound waves to disrupt matter. While operating on Organia during the brief Federation-Klingon War of 2267, Captain James T. Kirk and Commander Spock used a stolen sonic grenade to detonate a Klingon munitions cache.[1]
