Baker class (FASA 2302, 1st Ed.; Original B&W Image)

The Federation Starship Knutson was a Baker class destroyer. An experimental vessel, the Knutson fielded an improved impulse drive system that increased the vessel's total power output by 25 percent. It became the lead vessel of the Baker class Mark III and was commissioned on Reference Stardate 2/1804 (October 2274), though the Mark IV was soon introduced on Reference Stardate 2/1912 (September 2280), adding the FP-1 photon torpedo tubes, and all Mark IIIs were refitted to this design.[1]
