The Federation Starship Willard Decker,[1] named for Captain Willard Decker, was the prototype of the Decker class destroyer, and was commissioned on Reference Stardate 2/7502 (February 2338). The Decker was transferred to Starfleet Training Command on Reference Stardate 3/0601 (January 2366).[2]
