During an expedition to the planet Alfa 177 on Stardate 1672.1, Geological Technician Fisher fell and became covered with the soft, yellow, magnetic ore. When he transported back to the U.S.S. Enterprise NCC-1701, the ore interacted with the transporter, causing a malfunction that resulted in the creation of duplicates of an Alfa 177 canine and Captain James T. Kirk.[1]
