Geological Technician Fisher fell into a soft, yellow, magnetic ore while on an exploratory mission on planet Alfa 177 on Stardate 1672.1. When he beamed back up to the U.S.S. Enterprise NCC-1701 to have his injuries treated in sickbay, the ore interacted with the transporter, causing a malfunction that duplicated an Alfa 177 canine and Captain Kirk.[1]
