The Federtation Starship Centaur, a variant vessel of the Excelsior class,[1] was commanded in 2374 by Captain Charles Reynolds when it encountered a Jem'Hadar attack ship that had been captured by Captain Benjamin Sisko and his crew on a secret mission deep inside Cardassian space.
