Lieutenant Carver was a security officer assigned to the U.S.S. Enterprise NCC-1701. During a mission to Taurea II on Stardate 5483.9, Carver's life energy was drained by the Taureans, causing him to rapidly age at a rate of ten years per day. He was eventually rescued by another landing party, led by Lieutenant Uhura, and was restored to his proper age by a modified transporter.[1]
