Mining involved extracting valuable ores and minerals from the ground. An automated lithium mining station was in operation on Delta Vega on Stardate 1312.4. Ore ships only traveled to the planet once every twenty years.^[1] Rigel XII was home to a small mining operation, run by three miners on Stardate 1329.1.^[2]
