The Constitution class Starship Excalibur was commissioned on Reference Stardate 2/1808 (August 2276).[Notes 1] On Stardate 8087.3,[1] (Reference Stardate 2/2304, April 2381)[2] the Excalibur, under the command of Captain Preye discovered the U.S.S. Republic NCC-1371, lost in the Styx Rift[1] since Reference Stardate 2/0808 (August 2266).[2] On Reference Stardate 2/2503 (March 2283),[Notes 2] the Excalibur suffered irreparable damage and was scrapped.[3]
Notes
- ↑ FASA game materials referred to events by a FASA-specific dating standard called the "Reference Stardate." All dates taken from FASA sources in this article have been adapted from that notation into standard calendar dates, which are then adjusted for errors in the baseline dates used as reference by the FASA authors.
- ↑ Although the Federation Ship Recognition Manual establishes that the Excalibur was scrapped on Reference Stardate 2/2003, this date conflicted with the Star Trek IV: The Voyage Home Sourcebook Update, which established that the Excalibur found the lost Republic on Reference Stardate 2/2304. The date that the ship was scrapped was adjusted to Reference Stardate 2/2503, just a few months before the Excelsior class U.S.S. Excalibur was commissioned, to resolve this conflict.
