- RSD 2/0001.11 (11 January): The Federation Council votes unanimously to impose harsh sanctions against Orion companies, ports, and shopping interests that participate in the Green Slave trade. Federation members boycott Orion ports, a controversial move that bankrupts a number of Federation companies dependent on Orion trade. Despite this, the boycott remains in effect, proving that the Federation can live without Orion trade.[2]

- RSD 2/0003: Starbase 27, constructed near the Klingon border, assumes operational status.[3]
