The Marshall class destroyer became operational on Reference Stardate 1/0511 (November 2155), and was rushed into service. Equipped with many of the most recent technological advances, this warship was a mainstay of the Coalition's combat fleet during the latter part of the Romulan War. The Marshall class, with a complement of 157, remained in active service for 60 years. A total of 2900 Marshall class vessels were built.[1][2] In the 2230s and '40s, several Marshall class ships were brought out of mothballs and upgraded with modern systems and weaponry.[3]
