- RSD 1/0702-1/0907 (February 2157-July 2160): Scores of individual ship-versus-outpost encounters occur throughout this period of the Romulan War. Each side wins several of these confrontations, but more often, the opposing forces successfully destroy one another.[1]

- Reference Stardate 1/0703.17: Two squadrons of Romulan cruisers headed toward Rigel are met at Prantares by a Coalition force of approximately equal size. The Battle of Prantares is a tactical draw. The Coalition suffers heavier losses, but forces the Romulans to turn back.[1]

- RSD 1/0706: Operating independently, several Coalition squadrons cross into Romulan-controlled territory. While advancing into uncharted space, Starfleet's 44th Cruiser Squadron detects an unprotected Romulan deep-space supply depot. The small station is destroyed without Coalition casualties.[1]

- 22 August: Galorndon Core's biosphere is devastated when a Romulan ship rams into the planet at warp speed, denying it as a resource to Coalition forces. (Chapter 13)[2]

- RSD 1/0711.22 (22 November): A Romulan wing penetrates Starfleet's picket screen and destroys the Sector 5B Mining Complex, a very important ore processing facility.[1]
December
- RSD 1/0712.25 (25 December): Starfleet's 12th Strike Wing, containing three full squadrons, encounters a disorganized Romulan convoy at Nu Chalecedonis, a Coalition rendezvous point inside the Triangle. With only light casualties, the Coalition force destroys the entire Romulan convoy.[1]
