From Trekipedia
A parsec, abbreviated pc, was the parallax of one arc second.[1] It was the standard unit of distance in interstellar travel, and was equal to 3.26 light years;[1] 206,265 AUs; or 30.8×1012 kilometers.[2][3] The Metrons transported the U.S.S. Enterprise NCC-1701 500 parsecs from its original position after a violent encounter with the Gorn on Stardate 3045.6.[4]
