The United Earth Starship Intrepid was in service in the mid-22nd century. In April 2153, the Intrepid, commanded by Captain Ramirez, assisted the Enterprise NX-01 in combat against a Klingon bird of prey commanded by Duras when it pursued the Enterprise into the Sol system.[1] After the destruction of Earth by the Xindi in early 2154, the Intrepid was among a handful of surviving Earth Starfleet vessels that led a small group of survivors to refuge on Ceti Alpha V. By 2169, the Intrepid was commanded by Captain Malcolm Reed; it was destroyed, killing all aboard, when the Human colony was discovered and attacked by the Xindi.[2]
