The Federation Starship Stargazer was an Intrepid class light explorer. On Stardate 50796.4, the Stargazer, commanded by Captain Rackham, was part of a joint Federation-Klingon task force sent to counter an attack on telepathic species by the Dominion just prior to the onset of the Dominion War.[1]
