Alnitak was a trinary star system located approximately 1280 light years from the Sol system,[1] and was the leftmost star in the Orion constellation's belt, as seen from Earth. In the mid-21st century, a writer on one of the planets in the system wrote a novel with the central theme of "Let Me Help," asserting those three words were even more important than "I love you."[2]
