Cave Lion class
Commissioned 2290

The same design staff that had designed and built the Lion class dreadnought in record time was commissioned to build a battleship to rival the Klingon Empire's B-10 class. The resulting Cave Lion class battleship (BB) was a variant of the Lion class spaceframe, but larger. Like all things Lyran, clan politics may have interfered with the actual building of the class.

The BB, launched in 2290, featured a crew complement of 800, a capacity of thirteen shuttlecraft, and was equipped with seven science labs, seven transporters, six tractor beam emitters, and six mech tractors. The class was armed with six Expanding Sphere Generators, ten banks of Type-4 disruptors, fourteen banks of Type-1 phasers, and six banks of Type-3 phasers.[1]
