(The root of all realities)

The Eugenics Wars were a series of connected conflicts that originally occurred between 1992 and 1996 on Earth,[1] though repeated interference by factions in the Temporal Wars, including Romulans, pushed them back by several decades.[2] Some historians later connected them as part of World War III,[1] particularly as they occurred between the Second American Civil War and the nuclear exchanges of World War III.[3] The Eugenics Wars began when a group of genetically modified Humans,[1] known as Augments,[4] simultaneously seized power in more than forty nations. The most powerful of them, Khan Noonien Singh, personally controlled a quarter of the planet. After the Augments were deposed—unknown to the public at the time—85 of them, including Khan, escaped in cryogenic suspension aboard the S.S. Botany Bay, a DY-100 class interplanetary vessel.[1] Stavos Keniclius also escaped into space aboard a different vessel, and eventually made his way to Phylos.[5]
