Lieutenant Lee Kelso was an engineer aboard the U.S.S. Enterprise NCC-1701 in 2266. He was friends with Lieutenant Commander Gary Mitchell, the ship's navigator. When an encounter with the Galactic Barrier on Stardate 1312.4 gave Mitchell godlike powers and ultimately drove him mad, Mitchell killed Kelso with telekinesis by strangling him with a cable.[1]
