Mexicans and Mexican cuisine originated in Mexico on Earth. On Stardate 1513.1, Captain Kirk of the U.S.S. Enterprise NCC-1701 had a shipment of "prime Mexican red" chili peppers to deliver to Commander Jose Dominguez of Starbase 4.[1]
