Napoleon Bonaparte was a French general and monarch,[1] who served first as the head of the Republic of France[2] before naming himself emperor;[1] he reigned from 1804 until he was deposed in 1815.[2] Trelane declared that he was a great fan of the French ruler.[3] Commander Spock described Khan Noonien Singh[4] and his fellow Augments[5] as "some eighty Napoleons" after Captain Kirk made the initial comparison.[4] While suffering from insanity, Garth of Izar said that where Napoleon and other conquerors had failed, he would succeed, declaring himself "Lord Garth" and "Master of the Universe."[6]
