Ensign Sam Rutherford served aboard the U.S.S. Cerritos NCC-75567 in 2380. A few weeks prior to Stardate 57436.2, he was fitted with a cybernetic implant on the left side of his head. Of Vulcan origin, the device would actively attempt to suppress Rutherford's emotional state, much to his discomfort.^[1]
