Constitution class[1]

The Constitution class Starship Farragut was commissioned in June 2246,[2] and was commanded by Captain Garrovick; the Farragut was James T. Kirk's first assignment out of Starfleet Academy. In 2257, 200 members of the Farragut crew, including Captain Garrovick, were killed by the Dikironium cloud creature discovered at planet Tycho IV.[3] The Farragut was destroyed shortly after the encounter with the gaseous life form, when it came under attack by another hostile species that burrowed into the crippled ship.[4]

The registry listed for the Farragut in the "Star Fleet Technical Manual," NCC-1702, conflicts with other sources and must be disregarded. As the details from the "Federation Ship Recognition Manual" of the Farragut's refit in January 2265 and destruction in April 2269 also conflict with "Debt of Honor," they must similarly be disregarded.
