The Federation Starship Triumph, a Miranda class vessel, was commissioned in September 2273. The Triumph was listed as missing while operating in a rimward frontier area when it failed to make scheduled reports to Starfleet Galaxy Exploration Command; although the ship was officially listed as missing in June 2275, its last report was in May. The U.S.S. Regulator NCC-26245 was dispatched to search for the missing vessel in July 2275, but it also went missing several months later. Subsequent search efforts produced no evidence of the whereabouts of either vessel, and all search activities were called off by May 2276.[2]
Although the "Federation Ship Recognition Manual"[2] listed the Triumph as Reliant class, the class name was later established on film and in other media as Miranda class.
