An alcoholic beverage made from the fermentation of grapes[1] or other sweet fruits.[2] Champagne was a type of sparkling white wine produced in the Champagne region of France on Earth, and was traditionally used during the launching ceremonies of naval ships.[3] Dom Perignon and Chateau Picard are both wineries located in France.[1][3] The Dellri, a Klingon subject race, devoted 80% of their chief crop, Qala fruit, to wine production.[2]
