Ensign Barnes was assigned to the deflector dish aboard the U.S.S. Cerritos NCC-75567, and also served as an operations manager on the bridge. Her quarters were on Deck Nine, "by the squash courts." She felt that for her supervisor, Lieutenant Commander Andy Billups, talking to women was "pretty much that guy's final frontier." While on a date with Ensign Sam Rutherford, she confided that her father was also a cyborg. She was a fan of a classical band called The Monkees.[1]
