The Federation Starship Titan was a Constitution III class (nicknamed "Neo-Constitution") vessel. The Titan was primarily an exploration vessel, and was launched in 2402 under the command of Captain Liam Shaw. The ship was built in part with components salvaged from the previous U.S.S. Titan, including the computer core (which Shaw complained was filled with former Titan captain William Riker's jazz music),[1] and was designed to operate in and around densely populated systems, which was why the ship had the largest sublight power-to-geometry ratio in Starfleet.[2]
