This unnamed crewman (or possibly an ensign) in the operations division of Starfleet was assigned to the U.S.S. Enterprise NCC-1701 in 2266. When the ship made first contact with the First Federation on Stardate 1512.2, she was en route to her battle station in the corridor near sickbay when Captain Kirk left to take the turbolift to the bridge. She was using a flight computer—a device similar to a slide rule—at the time.[1]
