- Roger Korby discovers the android Ruk on Exo III and has his mind transferred into an android body to save his life, but his companion Brown dies before his mind could be saved. Korby creates an android duplicate to keep him company.[1]
- Robert and Nancy Crater begin an archaeological dig on planet M-113.[2]
- Spock and Leila Kalomi meet on Earth. She falls in love with him, but he cannot reciprocate her feelings.[3]
- Cyrano Jones, an asteroid scout and prospector, goes into business buying and selling rare merchandise.[4]
