U.S.S. Horizon NCC-173 (FASA)
The Federation Starship Horizon was destroyed shortly after departing Sigma Iotia II in 2107. Its distress signal, sent on a simple radio frequency, took a century to reach Star Fleet. Before leaving Sigma Iotia II, however, the crew left behind a copy of Chicago Mobs of the Twenties. The "highly imitative" Iotians patterned their society on "The Book," causing severe cultural contamination.[2]
