On Stardate 1329.1, Harry Mudd was en route to the Human colony on Ophiucus III in a Class J cargo ship with a "cargo" of wiving settlers—Eve McHuron, Ruth Bonaventure, and Magda Kovas—when he fled pursuit by the U.S.S. Enterprise NCC-1701 by flying into an asteroid field, which led to the destruction of his ship.[2]
