The Federation Starship Monitor, a Nebula class cruiser, was on patrol duty along the Romulan Neutral Zone in 2366.[1] The Monitor was sent to investigate a suspected incursion by the Romulan Star Empire on Nelvana III in 2366, although the information provided by Romulan defector Alidar Jarok proved to be baseless.[2]
