The Thufir class destroyers, which first entered service in November 2268, were an Andorian design, and were produced at the Morena and Salazaar shipyards at a combined rate of 15 per year. Of the 372 Thufir class destroyers built by RSD2/2306 (June 2223), 192 Mark Is and 136 Mark IIIs remained in active service, with six Mark Is in reserve fleets; one Mark I had been transferred to Star Fleet Training Command; 26 Mark Is and eight Mark IIIs had been destroyed; one Mark III was listed as missing; one Mark I and two Mark IIIs had been scrapped; and one Mark I had been demilitarized and sold to civilian commercial interests.[1]
