FASA Timeline
(FASA Roleplaying Game)

The transporter, sometimes called a "materializer,"[1] was a device that allowed near-instantaneous travel from one point to another.[2] The first successful transport of a human occurred on Reference Stardate 1/7407 (July 2174), when Captain Henry Winthrop of the U.S.S. Moscow and Captain Luigi Pirelli of the U.S.S. Tehran, designated by Star Fleet Command as Official Observers to the Verification Test of the Transporter Demonstration Project, observed the successful transport of the Moscow's science officer, Mr. Winslow, to the Tehran.[3][4] On Stardate 1329.8, Doctor Leonard McCoy admitted that he "never trusted" the device.[5]
