On Stardate 1513.1, Lieutenant Berkeley[1] was on duty during the incident with the M-113 creature aboard the U.S.S. Enterprise NCC-1701. When he was informed by Captain Kirk that Sturgeon had died on planet M-113, he assured Kirk that he would retrieve the body.[2] Berkeley again manned the transporter controls during a resupply mission to the Tantalus V penal colony on Stardate 2715.1. He neglected to account for the facility's security forcefield before beaming down the cargo, a fact that Captain Kirk had to remind him.[1]
