Kevas was a trade good of little value to the Klingon Empire in 2267. During the brief Federation-Klingon War of 2267, Spock posed as a Vulcan merchant dealing in kevas and trillium when Organia came under Klingon occupation, as he could not easily pass as a more Human-looking Organian.[1]
