• RSD 0/60: The Long class space barge is commissioned. Using an advanced fusion drive, the class carries a complement of nine and will remain in service until 2101.

• RSD 0/62: Trade between Earth and Alpha Centauri begins in earnest with the first warp drive ships.
• RSD 0/6201 (January): The Fundamental Declaration of the Martian Colonies grants every inhabited region in the Sol system local autonomy over their own affairs. It is used as a precedent-setting document for worlds wanting to declare governmental autonomy.

• RSD 0/63: A cultural exchange begins between Earth and Alpha Centauri. The ties of friendship and cooperation continue to strengthen.

Franklin series probe (FASA2011)

• RSD 0/64: Rapid improvements in warp drive technology result in the launch of the advanced Verne class cruiser, which boast a crew complement of 112. It is noteworthy as the first warp-capable class equipped with launch tubes and thermonuclear hydrogen-fusion torpedoes. The class will see 120 built, and will remain in service until 2095. Also commissioned this year is the Amity class shuttle, which carries 6 people and uses an advanced fusion drive.
• RSD 06407 (July): The Franklin series warp drive message probe becomes operational. These small, unmanned probes have rudimentary astrogational equipment, and are capable of carrying a cargo of up to 0.1 ton in addition to several hundred recorded messages. These probes are later refitted with modern warp drives and used for the next three decades. A total of 380 are built.

• RSD 0/6507.19 through 0/6509 (19 July through September): While on an exploratory mission, the U.N.S.S. Bonaventure discovers Axanar, and a contact team led by Ensign Colin Fortine meets with its intelligent, but non-spacefaring, humanoid race. The discovery of this race further substantiates Hodgkins' Law of Parallel Planet Development, now indisputably accepted as valid.
• RSD 0/6511.12 (12 November): First contact occurs with the Vulcans when a Franklin series probe encounters a Vulcan colony world. Vulcan has already developed the warp drive, and Vulcan techniques substatially improve the original design.

• RSD 0/6602 (February): The U.N.S.S. Bonaventure, en route to Tau Ceti on its third mission, is unaccountably lost.

• RSD 0/67: The first Space Ark is launched.

• RSD 0/6807 (July): The first Vulcan delegation is welcomed on Earth as serious discussions of an interstellar alliance between Earth, Vulcan, and Alpha Centauri begin.
• RSD 0/68: The Pluto research station finds proof that we are living in a pulsating universe.

• RSD 0/6907 (July): Humans celebrate the centennial of the first moon landing at a museum built on the site of the historic event.
