In the Abrahamic faiths of Earth, Hell was a place of eternal suffering and punishment for those who committed sins in their mortal lives.[1][2] The Talosians used a depiction of Hell to punish Captain Christopher Pike in 2254, saying that it was "from a fable [he] ... heard in childhood."[1]
