The Federation Starship Valor was a Centaur class light cruiser. In 2409, the Valor, under the command of Captain Stefan Marz, stopped in the Lackey system to mine additional dilithium to compensate for difficulties encountered in the Paulson Nebula, but was attacked and disabled by a group of Gorn who were illegally mining the system's asteroid field. The Valor was rescued by another Starfleet vessel, which provided enough dilithium and supplies for the Valor to limp to Starbase 157 for more extensive repairs.[1]
