During a mission to Psi 2000 on Stardate 1704.2, Lieutenant Brent took over the navigator's station when Lieutenant Kevin Riley was infected with an unknown disease.[1] Brent was also on bridge duty on Stardate 3141.9, when the Enterprise discovered the S.S. Botany Bay. Brent was rendered unconscious when Khan Noonien Singh seized control of the Enterprise and shut off the life support systems to the bridge.[2]
